Dennis van Peppen, manager of global issues and water at Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). During trade missions Mr. Van Peppen also functions as Deputy Special Envoy for International Water Affairs of the Government of the Netherlands. He is an experienced project and programme management experience in both public and private sector, who has a passion for water management but also for international development, international politics and international political economy. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations of the University of Amsterdam.

Network Strategy Manager
Daniel is a Chartered Engineer with 13 years’ experience in the water industry. Following a graduate position in the Water Networks Team at Atkins, Daniel has worked for SES water for 8 years in various operational roles, responsible for leakage and network delivery. In his current role as Network Strategy Manager Daniel is leading a team who will drive considerable change to the way SES Water manage their network operations, leakage and asset management activities in AMP7. Responsible for a number of strategic projects with the aim of achieving a marked improvement in service in areas such as leakage and network performance. His focus is on developing a sustainable strategy which will deliver real improvements both for current and future generations.
Manager Business Development
Rik Thijssen is the Manager of Business Development at Vitens, the largest water utility in The Netherlands, and member of the management team. Rik is responsible for driving innovation in Vitens as part of the company’s strategy. Innovation, smart grids, digitalization, sustainability, circular economy, customer technology and datascience are the main topics. He is heavily involved in the Vitens Smart Grid programme. Rik is joining Vitens for 8 years, holds a BSc in microbiology, and is a graduate of The Academy for Management at Groningen University and is member of the innovation & technology commission of the National Employers’ Organization.

Earlier, Iris has been involved in many activities of the Arcadis Shelter Program, as project leader for the Shelter Academy and organizing Shelter workshops in Arcadis offices worldwide. Global Manager Sustainable Development & Stakeholder Engagement
Jan-Willem is Global Manager Sustainable Development & Stakeholder Engagement. He has been closely involved in the development and launch of HEINEKEN’s 2030 sustainability strategy, ‘Brew a Better World’ and is responsible for stakeholder engagement, with a specific eye for investors and NGOs. Jan-Willem also has extensive experience in Water Stewardship and Sustainability Reporting. He has degrees in Organisational Anthropology and Communications.
